As a Mom......

To all the mom’s out there that stay at home or work… I am not biased I believe all moms need to be recognized. I just want to point out to those who believe that us stay at homers have  it easy and that those who work don’t seem to pay enough attention to their kids like me just explain this to you….

I know the difference between a bear, a Mac and a Scout. I can have my coffee, a smoke and get a my kids ready at the same time. I know the difference between a binky and a banky and I know what my kids mean when they ask for parpoons (cartoons).  I can plan breakfast, lunch and dinner all while sitting at a traffic light. I know where 20 different socks are and where to find its mate. I can tell you how many hot wheels, nerf darts and marbles are under my couch along with how many Cheerios you will find in it. I can tell you which person in my house has taken a shit by the smell and who did the dishes last based on how the dish washer is loaded. I can find my husband a shirt in 10 sec flat just by looking through the door into the bedroom. I can find the “meltdown” toy in 5. I can tell you who did what to who just by the sound of the feet running down the hall I can hear a flea sneeze so don’t think you can whisper you plan in my house.  I can tell you my kids are sick just by their smell and if they have a fever.  I can pack for a vacation or move in 5 hrs flat without a list and tell you where everything goes just by glancing in the box. I know if you lie just by the sounds and tone of your voice so don’t try it.  I can BS with the best so don’t try that either. I don’t spank, or throw shoes at my kids I flick pennies.  My kids (or hubby) can argue with me but in the end I will win, and don’t try to sugar coat it my answer is still whatever I say goes. I am a Mom and I stay at home. I can do my job better than anyone and it will stay that way. Is my house pristine? Hell No. Are my kids the best dressed? Hell No. Are we the most well behaved family? Hell No. However I will tell you this, I can run my house with my eyes closed and my kids are the greatest. My husband is awesome and together we have an awesome family.  So yes the picture above is true, I am a doctor, nurse, chauffeur, cook, referee, psychologist, etc, etc.

So it doesn’t matter if you stay at home of work, all of the mothers (and dads) out there do the best they can and no one I mean no one can do it better then you.

10 Ways We Sounds Like Our Mothers

This is my Mothers Day Blog. I thought we could all honor our mothers and rejoice in the things that we swore we would never say and yet with out fail we say them anyways. Lets begin.

1. "Who's stuff is this in my floor?"

2. "Why is the couch sticky?"

3. "I swear to God himself if you don't settle down I am stopping this car.....!"

4. "If I have to tell you again, your gonna get it."

5. "Why aren't you dressed the bus will be here in 2 minutes?"

6. "That's it! Just wait till your father gets home."

7. "If you two don't stop fighting, I am locking you in a closet together."

8. "Run through this house one more time and your done for."

9. "You cool it."

10. "We are about to have a comin to Jesus meetin!"

This is my list but please comment with the one thing your mom always told you that you find yourself repeating. Have a wonderful and Happy Mothers Day. Go out and enjoy it you earned it!

Shoot'em Up, Bang, Bang.....

Here is an A B Conversation overheard in my house. Enjoy.....

A: Ok, you go over there and shot the bad guys.

B: Ok, I will be over here

A: Oh my god! They are right behind you!!!

B: Hey get over here and help me there are too many, I cant hold them

A: Im coming give me a minute. I have to reload.

B: Oh No There are too many, Hurry run in the other room and hide.

A: Ok I am hiding where are you?

B: I am behind the door, you stay there under the bed.

A; Ok Ok i think its safe to come out now

B: AHHHH they got me RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!!!! SAVE YOURSELF!!!!

A: ILL COME BACK FOR YOU!!!

B: NO NO FORGET ME GET OUT NOW!!!!!!

The sound of mouth made gun fire, bombs and a struggle can now be heard in my hallway.
As the fighting dies down Tyler emerges from the hallway draggin his leg behind him make one more mouth gun sound and falls down to the floor in the death throws of war. Where he lies and awaits for his men to come take him home.

Ok. So now that we have surpassed the drama I would now like to let you know that this entire production was done in about 2 mins and it invovled just Tyler. he played all parts, sounds, and made up his own script off the top of his head.... Yeah Never a dull moment.

Happy Wednesday Everyone.

Lucky 13?

Oh where to begin, lets just say that I am writing this to you my son with a light heart and a small tear in my eye. I promise to never embarrass you how ever I will hold back nothing. Lets begin shall we.

When me and your dad found out we were pregnant, we were shocked and awed at the same time. We had just moved in to our first apartment. I was a waitress making 2.13 an hour plus tips and your dad was working hard to learn his fathers business. We were happy and content even if we struggled a little. It made us closer knowing that as long as we had the other nothing could get in our way.  I woke up one day feeling as if I had the flu and knew without a doubt that I was pregnant with you. I was elated, scared, worried, happy, and everything in between. I mean we had just got our own place how will we afford a baby with our income. Well there was no doubt we made it and you grew and thrived and lived and continue to do so. I am amazed everyday to see how much you learn and how much more you have to go.

You will be 13 in 2 days and I think this year will be the year you discover who you are. I think making the decision to home school will be a bonus and I hope you find you can do so much more then you think right now. This year starts your journey to manhood. You will step away from me a little more and lean more towards your father. This does not upset me but I will happy to take a step back and watch you become the wonderful man you can be.

Lets make this milestone in life a wonderful one and just remember that no matter what me and dad will always be here for you when ever you need someone to lean on.

Welcome to teenhood make it count.

Love,
Mom.

Run, Run as fast as you can........

I use to consider my self an active person. I could run all day with my kids. We played soccer and football. We would box each other and chase each other around. After all that, I would clean house, kids, and make dinner, wash laundry and pretty much take care of everything. Then something happened... I don't know what it was but one day I woke up, went out with the kids and I realized I had absolutely no energy. I had literally ran dry. I drank coffee, cokes, water, even took a vitamin. I felt as if I had aged 10 yrs over night. Here my kids were wanting to play and run and swing and everything in between and I had nothing to give.

As the years have gone by I have decided to pick my playtime such as one would pick their battles. I would play soccer one day and then wait a few days in order to recoup the energy I had lost and we would pick another activity. This was a serious disappointment to me. I was a very active child and teenager. I thought having my kids young I would have energy for years... Hell decades. Sorry to say that is not true. So in short I just want to say to all you moms out there.... " Play with your kids, enjoy them, love them, but have some common sense and rest and take a break every now and again." Your kids can play without you and they will not mind. Promise.
